Nineteen members of the Eureka Photoshop Users Group are exhibiting their creativity during April at Old Town Coffee and Chocolates, 211 F Street, Eureka. Group members are at all levels of Photoshop proficiency.
“Folks coming from so many different perspectives helps me think outside the box,” says group member Bob Wick.

This diversity of experience demonstrates the wide range of how this computer application is an indispensable tool to capture the excitement in a photograph or artistic concept. “Everything I learn using Photoshop increases
my creative ability. There are simply unlimited tools and methods to utilize,” says member Robert Fasic.

The group was initially formed because of an interest and need in the art community for support, information and sharing of ideas around the use of Photoshop. “Everyone sharing their creativity so freely creates a magical learning experience. It is inspirational,” says Marj Early.

“Collaboration, synergy and free form are the three concepts that sum up the characteristics of this group,” explains member Ron Harris. The result is that this group has a wide
range of meaning to individual members.

“This group helps me decipher the very complex and immensely creative Photoshop program. The more experienced members are very generous with their knowledge and advice,” says Karen Palmer.

Also featured in this exhibit is a collection of art resulting from the group’s IronShop Montage Project.
This required members to take a set of pre-selected images and combine them into a synergistic piece of art, then sharing their creative process with the group.

Exhibiting members are Carl Baggett, Marj Early, Robert Fasic, Roy Grieshaber, Ruth Jameson, Red Jioras, Tope Knauf, Sue O'Kieffe, Karen Palmer, Tom Roberts, Donna Sellers, Greg Smith, Bosha Struve, Anita Tavernier, Chuck Thissell, Jackie Wales, Bob Wick, Diane Williams and Hal Work.
